Ethereum Whale Purchases 150 Billion Shiba Inu, Top Whales Now Hold $664 Million Worth Of Shib
According to WhaleStats, the Ethereum whale, who goes by the pseudonym “BlueWhale0159”, splashed over $1.75 million to purchase the SHIB tokens.
BlueWhale0159 bought 150 billion SHIB tokens for the sum of $1,750,500. Per data provided by WhaleStats, the transaction took place yesterday at exactly 05:31:50 UTC.
Despite splashing over $1.7 million to purchase the tokens, the user paid a paltry fee of $1 for the transaction.
“ETH whale “BlueWhale0159” just bought 150,000,000,000 shib ($1,750,500 USD). Ranked 315 on WhaleStats,” WhaleStats tweeted.
WhaleStats is a cryptocurrency data provider that tracks the activities of the top whales on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain.
Growing Adoption of SHIB
The development contributed to the growing adoption of Shiba Inu tokens among Ethereum whales. Shiba Inu recently became the third-biggest token position by dollar value among the top 5,000 Ethereum whales.
Per WhaleStats data, the top 5,000 ETH whales are holding a combined $664,473,512 ($664.4 million) worth of Shiba Inu tokens.
Other crypto assets in the ranking include FTX Token (FTT), Polygon (MATIC), Chainlink ($LINK), etc.
